Type Attack!

This is a console-based video game (text-only) designed to help players improve their rapid typing skills. It features simple gameplay enhanced by engaging visual feedback to appeal to a broad audience.

The gameplay is straightforward: press "Enter" at the menu to start. Once in the game, you will see two areas: one where phrases (randomly selected) fall from the top of the screen, and a small console on the right displaying feedback on your score and performance. Your goal is to type the falling phrase exactly as it appears—respecting capitalization, punctuation, and, above all, spaces. If you type the phrase correctly before it reaches the bottom of the screen, you earn 100 points; otherwise, you lose 100 points, and new random phrases continue to appear.

The game includes speed multipliers and difficulty settings. Currently, these are configured by editing the "config" file. You can set the difficulty by entering values like "type=02" (standard difficulty), with options ranging from 00 (easiest) and 01 (easy) to 03 (somewhat difficult). You can also modify the random phrases that fall on the screen by adding more entries or creating your own file. There are three phrase files: "Loser," "Congrats," and "Words."

"Loser" contains phrases for negative feedback when you lose points or miss phrases; "Congrats" holds the list for positive feedback; and "Words" is where you can modify the phrases that fall randomly from the top of the screen for you to type.
